On 14th May 2025, the APPG on Faith and Society hosted its tenth Faith Covenant Forum, a virtual roundtable discussion providing an opportunity for faith and local authority representative from Covenant areas to hear about interesting topics relevant to them and share learning and best practice.
This forum meeting was chaired by Daniel Singleton, National Executive Director of FaithAction, the secretariat to the APPG. This was the first meeting of the Faith Covenant Forum since the election and the reformation of the APPG on Faith and Society. We were delighted to introduce the new chair of the APPG, Zöe Franklin MP, to participants.
The Forum also took some time to consider how the upcoming changes to local governments, as outlined in the English Devolution White Paper, might affect existing Faith Covenant areas as well as any areas considering adopting a Covenant in the near future.
