Leeds City Council to Sign Faith Covenant

On Thursday 5th March, Leeds City Council will become the latest local authority to sign the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Faith and Society’s Faith Covenant. The Faith Covenant has been developed by the APPG on Faith and Society as a tool to facilitate partnership working between local authorities and faith groups. It is a joint commitment between faith communities and local authorities to a set of principles for working together, which aims to build trust and promote open, practical engagement on all levels. Birmingham City Council and local faith groups are the first in the UK to sign the Faith Covenant

Birmingham City Council is the first local authority to respond to a call from the All Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Faith and Society for all local authorities across the UK to sign a newly developed ‘Faith Covenant’. Parliamentary Launch of the Housing Justice Quality Mark and Night Shelters Impact Report

Housing Justice is the national voice of Christian action on homelessness and housing. An important part of its mission is to support church responses to homelessness, including the growing network of Church and Community Night Shelters in London and across the UK.
